MAKING OUR MISSION GLOBAL

We have been blessed with immeasurable talent and treasure each day. We strive to build the infrastructure necessary to improve the communities we serve. There are, however, those around the world who struggle every day for the basic necessities we take for granted – clean water, healthcare, education, communication – the same essentials that we work to deliver every day on every project we build. It is ingrained in 17³Ô¹ÏÍø’s culture to assist those in need, to have the courage to step outside our comfort zone and do good for others. Our Mission Trips send a group of 17³Ô¹ÏÍø employees to a part of the globe where people truly lack the infrastructure that we can help provide. Not only do they assist a struggling community, but they also instill a global perspective in our employees, continuing to embolden our core values of Passion, Balance, Courage, Opportunity, Responsibility, and Fun.

Our Global Mission Trip program is the truest reflection of our Mission, Vision and Core Values. We define community broadly, and by extending our service to those in developing nations we create the mutual benefit of better appreciating the impact of the work that we do here at home, while dramatically improving the lives of our fellow citizens in our global community.

17³Ô¹ÏÍø has completed three company Mission Trips to date in an effort to make our Mission global. In 2019, we sent a team to Timusi, Bolivia to improve their water supply system and provide safe drinking water to the remote mountain village. In 2022, we sent eight employees to Mucombeze, Mozambique to build new, on-campus teacher dormitories for a remote school. In February 2024, we sent 10 teammates to Wiang Pa Pao, Thailand to help construct a new girls’ home for children who have been rescued from trafficking.

Mission accomplished
"The 17³Ô¹ÏÍø team was immeasurably changed in Mozambique, all because we answered a call to serve and are fortunate enough to work for a company that values and promotes such an extreme level of service. Before we left, we didn’t know exactly what we were going to encounter. Once we were on the ground in Mucombeze, it didn’t take long for us to realize this trip was more than a simple, third-world construction project. It was all about the people of Mozambique – our humble attempt to serve them and their massive impact on us. It is impossible to describe the infectious joy of the people we had the privilege to meet. They have so little in material goods, but they live with tremendous faith and strength in community. They are so happy, and that is so powerful. We came home with an appreciation of this joy and a realization that service to others is the pathway to catch some of it.â€

"The experience was indescribable. I met and worked with amazing people, and we share a bond that we will forever cherish. I expected to help people and learn something new on the trip, but it was so much more than that. It was truly life changing both for me and for those in need. For me, it redefined the meaning of a selfless act, not just going on one trip to help one community, but what you can do daily to improve the lives of others, to truly respect and appreciate what you have. I am so grateful for this experience and hope everyone has the opportunity to be a part of something greater, to redefine community engagement."
